A few words about me...

I grew up in the UK. I have lived in France since I graduated from the University of Bath with a degree in International Management and French in 1996. After graduating, I spent 12 years working for market-leading companies, where I gained concrete experience in a wide range of areas ranging from marketing and corporate strategy to risk management and HACCP. So I understand how businesses work, how they communicate and the pressures they face.
I became a full-time freelance translator in 2008, using my language skills and business background to provide translation companies and direct clients with stylish English versions of their business and corporate communications documents. As a qualified member of the Institute of Translation & Interpreting since 2012 and a member of the French translators association SFT since 2009, I am committed to the highest professional standards.
I believe in the importance of continuous professional development, and have recently undertaken a number of courses in finance, economics and accounting to keep abreast of the latest developments in my clients' industries. In September 2016, I achieved the ACCA's Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR). With the knowledge I acquired while studying for this qualification, I am even better equipped to translate financial statements and other accounting documents. In November 2019, I gained The Investor Relations Society's Certificate in Investor Relations. This professional qualification has brought me a complete awareness of the legal and regulatory framework surrounding investor relations, and an understanding of the demands of the sector.
